Highland Marble Wave Crest Sterling Silver Ring
Lovingly hand-mined and polished Scottish Highland Marble ring set in 925 sterling silver, with an eyecatching 'wave crest' design and hidden wishbone. You can choose which size you prefer from a random selection from our current available stock in the drop down menu (see listing photographs for examples).
Highland Marble stone measures roughly 8mm diameter. Ring sizes are set, but due to the open design of the band, it can adjust up approximately one ring size by itself without compromising the design - for example, rings sized 'R' should accommodate size 'S' too, but will probably be too large to fit size 'Q'.
You will receive one (1) ring which comes in a tartan pouch with a colourful Scottish Highland Marble story card, in letterbox friendly packaging. We have more than one ring in stock - please see photographs for an example of what you will receive.
At Two Skies, we think that "To own a piece of Highland Marble is to own a piece of Scotland itself. By purchasing this beautiful piece you are connected not just to Scotland but to its age old traditions and folklore."
Highland Marble comes from the Scottish Highlands and West coast islands. Over 800 million years ago, limestone was formed under the oceans of Scotland. As plant life of the time died and settled on the sea bed the life-sustaining chlorophyll from these plants, coupled with the metamorphosis of the limestone, resulted in what we now know as Scottish Highland Marble. Scottish Marble has been prized by fishermen for centuries. On the Isle of Iona they would not leave port without their lucky green gems. It has been used by healers to help the body return to a time unhindered by the stresses and pollution of modern times.
