Cairngorm Quartz. Scotland’s official national gemstone, is a rare type of smoky quartz found only in the Cairngorm mountains, once treasured by Victorian collectors and even Queen Victoria herself. The darkest “morion” pieces are especially scarce and valuable, and with the area now protected, new finds are almost impossible. Our stones come from a historic private collection, allowing us to create contemporary jewellery from a gem usually only seen in antique pieces.
