A rare gemstone since 1980, as it has been increasingly hard to get hold of - therefore becoming more expensive - and its few known locations aren't easily mined. The rarest and most valuable stones are a deep, uniform purple. Sugilite is also known as lavulite, royal azel, cybeline and wesselite. Our sugilite is sourced in Namibia, Africa.
