'Flow Blue' style Old Willow - gorgeous old vintage British porcelain, hand cut and crafted into a sterling silver 'wave crest' design wishbone ring. The ring is slightly adjustable, and can 'stretch' to accommodate two ring sizes - see drop down menu for size groups. Porcelain piece measures roughly 8mm diameter.
Please note - you will receive one (1) ring for this listing. We have more than one of these rings in stock, with approximately identical patterns, but due to the way the china is cut from the original piece, the frames may differ very slightly in shape - please see photos for examples.
By purchasing this beautiful ring, you will own a wee piece of history; preserved forever. Comes in a Two Skies presentation box with Old Willow story card.
Old Willow Flow Blue Sterling Silver Adjustable Wave Ring
Flow blue was a type of transfer pottery produced by Staffordshire, England, potters beginning in about 1820. Sold mostly in the U.S. market, flow blue was similar to traditional blue-and-white pottery, except that the blue colour was deliberately blurred, an effect achieved by adding a cup of lime or ammonia to the kiln during glazing.
