Moldavite and Ruby Sterling Silver Ring

Moldavite and Ruby Sterling Silver Ring

This two-stone ring features two rough stones, Moldavite from Czech Republic and a pink ruby from India. Both claw set in a 925 sterling silver wrap ring.

Moldavite measures roughly 8x4mm and Ruby roughly 7x6mm.

The ring's size can be adjusted between sizes Q½-R½ (UK) or 8½-9 (US) without compromising the design.

Ring comes in a Two Skies jewellery box with Moldavite and Ruby story cards.

RESIZING ADJUSTABLE RINGS

It's quite easy to change the size of the ring yourself. Just go slowly and be careful, manipulating the inner area of the band with warm fingers rather than pulling at the end sections. This will help maintain its round shape. The ring can span several sizes without compromising the original design. However, once set, it is advisable not to resize it again. Silver is soft and can become brittle and snap if bent too frequently. See Adams ring sizing help video here

  • Moldavites are an amazing type of natural glass, formed by the heat and impact of a meteorite landing on Earth 15 million years ago. Glass formations like this ('tektites') have been discovered across the globe, but moldavites are unique in their olive-green colouring and can only be found in a small area surrounding the river Moldau in The Czech Republic/Germany. Treasured for centuries by various cultures, it has been used for many purposes - from arrowheads to lucky talismans. Gram-for-gram, Moldavite is rarer than a diamond, as only 50 tonnes were ever formed on earth (compared to over 26 tonnes of diamond produced PER YEAR!)  Without a doubt very rare and precious, moldavites are also thought to hold extremely powerful metaphysical energies and are associated with the holy grail.
