Peridot and Carnelian Sterling Silver Ring
This two-stone ring features a drop cut faceted Peridot from USA and a oval cut faceted Indian Carnelian. Both bezel set in a 925 sterling silver wrap ring.
Peridot measures roughly 5x4mm and Carnelian measures roughly 6x4mm.The ring's size can be adjusted between sizes R-S (UK) or 8-9¼¾ (US) without compromising the design.
Ring comes in a Two Skies jewellery box with a Peridot story card.
RESIZING ADJUSTABLE RINGSIt's quite easy to change the size of the ring yourself. Just go slowly and be careful, manipulating the inner area of the band with warm fingers rather than pulling at the end sections. This will help maintain its round shape. The ring can span several sizes without compromising the original design. However, once set, it is advisable not to resize it again. Silver is soft and can become brittle and snap if bent too frequently. See Adams ring sizing help video here
If you would like us to size the ring for you then please send us a message/email after placing your order.
Why do silversmiths use 925%? Measured in parts per thousand, pure silver (999%) is too soft, so silversmiths mix it with other metals to make it harder. The purer the metal, the higher the polish, but it is a lot softer (thus less durable). The harder the metal is, the harder wearing the jewellery is, but it will also tarnish easier as it has less silver content. Therefore, the silver industry set a standard percentage content for fine silver (925); what we know as "sterling silver". At Two Skies our silversmiths use 925 (sterling) silver for ring shafts and moving parts, and a very high 950% on our stone’s settings, which enables us to get a strong jewellery item with a beautiful and secure stone setting, without any gluing. Each piece of our jewellery is hand stamped with our Two Skies Hallmark alongside the recognised industry 925 Hallmark.
