Garnet Sterling Silver Serpent Ring

Garnet Sterling Silver Serpent Ring

Beautifully faceted, round cut dark red Garnet, set in a sterling silver adjustable serpent design ring.

Gemstone measures approximately 4mm diameter.  This ring can cleverly span ring sizes Q-S (UK) or 8¼-9¼ (US), without compromising the original design concept too much.

Comes presented in a Two Skies jewellery box.

RESIZING ADJUSTABLE RINGS

It's quite easy to change the size of the ring yourself. Just go slowly and be careful, manipulating the inner area of the band with warm fingers rather than pulling at the end sections. This will help maintain its round shape. The ring can span several sizes without compromising the original design. However, once set, it is advisable not to resize it again. Silver is soft and can become brittle and snap if bent too frequently.

  • January's birthstone, Garnets are known to have a warm, deep red that is similar to that of a Ruby, and is often mistaken for one to the untrained eye!  When you think 'Garnet', images of sparkling red gems probably come to mind, but there are actually Garnets of many colours, with the rarest being colourless, peach, and green.   Used in adornment for over 5,000 years, Garnets were popular in ancient Egypt from around 3100 BC, being used as beads in necklaces as well as inlaid jewellery (gems set into a surface in a decorative pattern).  Garnet’s many myths frequently portray it as a symbol of light, faith, truth, chivalry, loyalty and honesty.
