Lewisian comes from the Isles of Lewis, Harris, and the North Highlands, forming some of the oldest rocks on Earth—up to 3 billion years old. This ancient gneiss, composed of feldspar, epidote, and quartz, has been treasured for millennia and was used by early Scottish clans and Megalithic cultures, including the builders of the Callanish stone circle.
