Scottish Chalcedony & Elie Ruby Sterling Silver Ring

Scottish Chalcedony & Elie Ruby Sterling Silver Ring

Beautiful natural Scottish Chalcedony, delicately semi-translucent.  Facet-cut for a subtle sparkle, and set in an elegant sterling silver ring.   There is a small but fiery Elie Ruby set into the reverse of the band.

Gemstone measures approximately 9x7mm.  Elie Ruby is 1.5mm diameter.  Ring band is 2mm at narrowest point (rear). This is a fixed size ring and cannot be adjusted - size is O (UK) or 7¼ (US).

Ring will be sent in a Two Skies tartan gift pouch or box, with Scottish Gems pamphlet, ready for gifting.

Please note that our photographer's hands are small, please check with a ruler if uncertain of scale.

This ring style (gem set at rear of band) is quite delicate and the Elie Ruby is at risk of coming loose if the ring is subjected to too much contact with other objects.  Please follow jewellery care guidelines for the best care of all jewellery.

  • Sourced from Ardownie in Dundee.  A gem traditionally esteemed by Scottish jewellers , this delicately clouded variety of Agate formed throughout the country's ancient lava flows.  Popular in Victorian jewellery, particularly in Scotland, where they were cut, faceted and set into 'pebble jewellery', which are fast becoming collector's items.
