Scottish Amethyst Sterling Silver Celtic Ring
Natural Scottish Amethyst, polished and left in an organic form, set in an adjustable sterling silver band with Celtic Knot design.
Due to the clever adjustable feature, this sterling silver ring will approximately fit sizes M-R (UK) and 6¼-8¾ (US) due to the open design of the band, without compromising the original design concept. Gemstone measures 16x10mm. Band at narrowest point (rear) is 3mm. Ring height (the length it will cover your finger) is approximately 28mm.

RESIZING ADJUSTABLE RINGS
It is quite easy to change the size of the ring yourself as long as you go slowly and are careful, manipulating the inner area of the band with warm fingers, rather than pulling at the end sections – this will help keep a round shape too. This ring will span quite a few sizes without compromising the original design concept. Once set, it is advisable not to resize again, as silver is quite soft and can become brittle and snap if bent too frequently.
Although more subtly shaded (and much less common!) than its Brazilian counterpart, our home sourced Scottish Amethyst is no less beautiful. From localities such as Ardownie in Dundee, Fife and Dumfries & Galloway. Amethyst is also February's birthstone.
