This listing is for one (1) ring. We have various lewisian, all so similar that we felt the photos represented all fairly - therefore you may not receive the actual ring in the photographs, but one very similar in your size selected, of no less quality or size than the one pictured. The Lewisian in ring is of a similar shade of red as the set photographed, although every stone will display its own unique subtle characteristics.
At Two Skies, we think that; "To own a piece of Scottish Lewisian is to own a piece of Scotland itself. By purchasing this beautiful piece you are connected not just to Scotland, but to its age old traditions and folklore."
RESIZING ADJUSTABLE RINGS
Its quite easy to change the size of the ring yourself. Just go slowly and be careful, manipulating the inner area of the band with warm fingers rather than pulling at the end sections. This will help maintain its round shape. The ring can span a few sizes without compromising the original design. However, once set, it is advisable not to resize it again. Silver is soft and can become brittle and snap if bent too frequently. Click here to see how Adam resizes

Scottish Lewisian
Lewisian comes from the Isles of Lewis, Harris and North Highlands. It is collected from the ancient bedrock of Scotland and is one of the oldest rocks in the world, up to 3 billion years old (3,000,000,000 years!). It is a unique composition of many minerals including Feldspar, Epidote and Quartz, all of which are part of the "Lewisian Gneiss" complex. Lewisian has been treasured for thousands of years by the clans of Scotland. It was used by the Megalithic cultures to construct monuments such as the Callanish stone circle on the Isle of Lewis
Sterling Silver (925%)
Why do silversmiths use 925%? Measured in parts per thousand, pure silver (999%) is too soft so silversmiths mix it with other metals to make it it harder. The purer the metal, the higher the polish, but it is a lot softer (thus less durable). The harder the metal is, the more hard wearing the jewellery is, but it will also tarnish easier as it has less silver content. Therefore, the silver industry set a standard percentage content for fine silver (925); what we know as "sterling silver". At Two Skies our silversmiths use 925 (sterling) silver for ring shafts and moving parts, and a very high 950% on our stones settings, which enables us to get a strong jewellery item with a beautiful and secure stone setting, without any gluing. Each piece of our jewellery is hand stamped with our Two Skies Hallmark alongside the recognised industry 925 Hallmark
