'Dragonstone' Sterling Silver Pendant
Also known as a "dragonstone", Septarian Nodules were formed during the Cretaceous Period, around 50 to 70 million years ago. It is made of nodules of clay ironstone into which other minerals are deposited through small cracks in the structure, including calcite, dolomite, jasper and aragonite. The word "Septaria" comes from the Latin word septum; "partition", and refers to the cracks and beautiful "crackled" patterns you see inside the rocks today. It is believed that Septarian is good for all around well-being as well as patience and tolerance.
